Emergency Planning/Crisis Management
American businesses, executives and their families

kidnapping and extortion. The terrorism attacks on September 11,
2001 left many companies scrambling to determine if their employees
were at the WTC or on the airplanes. The directly affected companies
with a prepared emergency plan and a crisis management team we able
to resume business far sooner than the other companies with no such
plan.
Natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes and floods require
emergency planning and a trained crisis management to ensure life
safety and business continuity.
Case Study #1
On September 11, 2001, the bernes Group was contacted when a company
could not find their employees who were conducting a training
session at the World Trade Center (WTC) in New York City. They were
also unable to make contact with their nearby New York Office.
Within four (4) hours, the bernes Group successfully located the
employees in training; confirm that the office workers were safe and
that no employees were on the fatal aircraft.
Case Study #2
Again after 9/11/01, the bernes Group became an integral part of a
major corporation’s Emergency Planning Team.
Case Study #3
Post 9/11/01, the bernes Group assisted a major corporation to
develop an emergency instruction card that can be affixed to the
employees identification badge.

major corporation.
